Do I need to register?

No. Software Freedom Day Jacksonville is free and there is no registration, no ticket, and no list. Turn up on the day and come in.

Doors open at 10:30 AM, and the first item on the programme is at 11:30.

Volunteer

Email your full name and the position or positions you are interested in. Most of these need no experience at all.

  • Speaker Host

    Introduces speakers and helps the Speaker Assistant.

    Must be comfortable with speaking

  • Speaker Assistant

    Helps mic up the speaker and assists the speaker while presenting.

    No experience required

  • Broadcast Engineer

    Manages the livestream and audio.

    Experience preferred

  • AV Tech

    Camera operator and recording.

    Experience preferred

  • Vendor Coordinator

    Assists vendors as needed.

    No experience required

  • Registration Desk

    Helps with event questions and greets attendees.

    No experience required

  • General Staff

    Assists with other event staff.

    No experience required
